Salted Hot Fudge Sauce
So recently I’ve been buying this ‘small batch’ luxury salted hot fudge that is so f’ing good, but it’s like $12 for 10 oz. Because it’s absurd to spend that much on 10 oz, I decided to try to teach myself to fish, so I can have hot fudge for a lifetime!
It’s very easy to make, and it’s really really REALLY good. It’s cheaper to make, especially if you double the recipe.

Salted Hot Fudge Recipe
Ingredients:
servings 3 cups hot fudge
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup salted butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 ounces chocolate, chopped (sweetened or unsweetened)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon sea salt (adjust to taste)
Instructions:
In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, melt butter and chocolate together while stirring frequently.
Once melted, add the cream and stir until combined. Next add the cocoa powder, brown sugar, and granulated sugar and stir until combined. Let mixture heat until just before it comes to a boil- about 5 minutes. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for another 3-5 minutes while stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and add in vanilla and salt and stir. Pour into containers and cool, then add lids and refrigerate. Will keep for up to 1 month!
To reheat, I like to scoop out a portion in a small dish and then microwave for 10-20 seconds and then pour over ice cream.
